هَلْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ اَوْ يَأْتِيَ اَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۗ كَذٰلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۗوَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللّٰهُ وَلٰكِنْ كَانُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُوْنَ ( النحل: ٣٣ )
Hal yanthuroona illa an tatiyahumu almalaikatu aw yatiya amru rabbika kathalika fa'ala allatheena min qablihim wama thalamahumu Allahu walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona (an-Naḥl 16:33)

क्या अब वे इसी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे है कि फ़रिश्ते उनके पास आ पहुँचे या तेरे रब का आदेश ही आ जाए? ऐसा ही उन लोगो ने भी किया, जो इनसे पहले थे। अल्लाह ने उनपर अत्याचार नहीं किया, किन्तु वे स्वयं अपने ऊपर अत्याचार करते रहे
English Sahih:
Do they [i.e., the disbelievers] await except that the angels should come to them or there comes the command of your Lord? Thus did those do before them. And Allah wronged them not, but they had been wronging themselves. ([16] An-Nahl : 33)

(ऐ रसूल) क्या ये (अहले मक्का) इसी बात के मुन्तिज़र है कि उनके पास फरिश्ते (क़ब्ज़े रुह को) आ ही जाएँ या (उनके हलाक करने को) तुम्हारे परवरदिगार का अज़ाब ही आ पहुँचे जो लोग उनसे पहले हो गुज़रे हैं वह ऐसी बातें कर चुके हैं और ख़ुदा ने उन पर (ज़रा भी) जुल्म नहीं किया बल्कि वह लोग ख़ुद कुफ़्र की वजह से अपने ऊपर आप जुल्म करते रहे
