رَبُّكُمْ اَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ اِنْ يَّشَأْ يَرْحَمْكُمْ اَوْ اِنْ يَّشَأْ يُعَذِّبْكُمْۗ وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكِيْلًا ( الإسراء: ٥٤ )
Your Lord
رَّبُّكُمْ
रब तुम्हारा
(is) most knowing
أَعْلَمُ
ख़ूब जानता है
of you
بِكُمْۖ
तुम्हें
If
إِن
अगर
He wills
يَشَأْ
वो चाहे
He will have mercy on you;
يَرْحَمْكُمْ
वो रहम करे तुम पर
or
أَوْ
या
if
إِن
अगर
He wills
يَشَأْ
वो चाहे
He will punish you
يُعَذِّبْكُمْۚ
वो अज़ाब दे तुम्हें
And not
وَمَآ
और नहीं
We have sent you
أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ
भेजा हमने आपको
over them
عَلَيْهِمْ
उन पर
(as) a guardian
وَكِيلًا
ज़िम्मेदार बनाकर
Rabbukum a'lamu bikum in yasha yarhamkum aw in yasha yu'aththibkum wama arsalnaka 'alayhim wakeelan (al-ʾIsrāʾ 17:54)

तुम्हारा रब तुमसे भली-भाँति परिचित है। वह चाहे तो तुमपर दया करे या चाहे तो तुम्हें यातना दे। हमने तुम्हें उनकी ज़िम्मेदारी लेनेवाला कोई क्यक्ति बनाकर नहीं भेजा है (कि उन्हें अनिवार्यतः संमार्ग पर ला ही दो)
English Sahih:
Your Lord is most knowing of you. If He wills, He will have mercy upon you; or if He wills, He will punish you. And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], over them as a manager. ([17] Al-Isra : 54)
