وَاِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا قَالُوْٓا اٰمَنَّا ۚ وَاِذَا خَلَوْا اِلٰى شَيٰطِيْنِهِمْ ۙ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّا مَعَكُمْ ۙاِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ( البقرة: ١٤ )
And when
وَإِذَا
और जब
they meet
لَقُوا۟
वो मुलाक़ात करते हैं
those who
ٱلَّذِينَ
उनसे जो
believe[d]
ءَامَنُوا۟
ईमान लाए
they say
قَالُوٓا۟
वो कहते हैं
"We believe[d]"
ءَامَنَّا
ईमान लाए हम
But when
وَإِذَا
और जब
they are alone
خَلَوْا۟
वो अकेले होते हैं
with
إِلَىٰ
तरफ़
their evil ones
شَيَٰطِينِهِمْ
अपने शैतानों के
they say
قَالُوٓا۟
वो कहते हैं
"Indeed, we
إِنَّا
बेशक हम
(are) with you
مَعَكُمْ
तुम्हारे साथ हैं
only
إِنَّمَا
बेशक
we
نَحْنُ
हम तो
(are) mockers"
مُسْتَهْزِءُونَ
मज़ाक़ उड़ाने वाले हैं
Waitha laqoo allatheena amanoo qaloo amanna waitha khalaw ila shayateenihim qaloo inna ma'akum innama nahnu mustahzioona (al-Baq̈arah 2:14)

और जब ईमान लानेवालों से मिलते हैं तो कहते, 'हम भी ईमान लाए हैं,' और जब एकान्त में अपने शैतानों के पास पहुँचते हैं, तो कहते हैं, 'हम तो तुम्हारे साथ हैं और यह तो हम केवल परिहास कर रहे हैं।'
English Sahih:
And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers." ([2] Al-Baqarah : 14)
