اِذْ قَالَ لِاَبِيْهِ وَقَوْمِهٖ مَا هٰذِهِ التَّمَاثِيْلُ الَّتِيْٓ اَنْتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُوْنَ ( الأنبياء: ٥٢ )
When
إِذْ
जब
he said
قَالَ
उसने कहा
to his father
لِأَبِيهِ
अपने बाप से
and his people
وَقَوْمِهِۦ
और अपनी क़ौम से
"What
مَا
क्या हैं
(are) these
هَٰذِهِ
ये
[the] statues
ٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ
मूर्तियाँ
which
ٱلَّتِىٓ
वो जो
you
أَنتُمْ
तुम
to it
لَهَا
उनके लिए
(are) devoted?"
عَٰكِفُونَ
जम कर बैठने वाले हो
Ith qala liabeehi waqawmihi ma hathihi alttamatheelu allatee antum laha 'akifoona (al-ʾAnbiyāʾ 21:52)

जब उसने अपने बाप और अपनी क़ौम से कहा, 'ये मूर्तियाँ क्या है, जिनसे तुम लगे बैठे हो?'
English Sahih:
When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?" ([21] Al-Anbya : 52)
