وَلٰكِنَّآ اَنْشَأْنَا قُرُوْنًا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُۚ وَمَا كُنْتَ ثَاوِيًا فِيْٓ اَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ تَتْلُوْا عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتِنَاۙ وَلٰكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِيْنَ ( القصص: ٤٥ )
But We
وَلَٰكِنَّآ
और लेकिन हम
[We] produced
أَنشَأْنَا
उठाईं हमने
generations
قُرُونًا
उम्मतें
and prolonged
فَتَطَاوَلَ
तो तवील हो गई
for them
عَلَيْهِمُ
उन पर
the life
ٱلْعُمُرُۚ
मुद्दत
And not
وَمَا
और ना
you were
كُنتَ
थे आप
a dweller
ثَاوِيًا
मुक़ीम
among
فِىٓ
अहले मदयन में
(the) people
أَهْلِ
अहले मदयन में
(of) Madyan
مَدْيَنَ
अहले मदयन में
reciting
تَتْلُوا۟
कि आप पढ़ते
to them
عَلَيْهِمْ
उन पर
Our Verses
ءَايَٰتِنَا
आयात हमारी
but We
وَلَٰكِنَّا
और लेकिन हम
[We] were
كُنَّا
थे हम ही
the Senders
مُرْسِلِينَ
भेजने वाले
Walakinna anshana quroonan fatatawala 'alayhimu al'umuru wama kunta thawiyan fee ahli madyana tatloo 'alayhim ayatina walakinna kunna mursileena (al-Q̈aṣaṣ 28:45)

लेकिन हमने बहुत-सी नस्लें उठाईं और उनपर बहुत समय बीत गया। और न तुम मदयनवालों में रहते थे कि उन्हें हमारी आयतें सुना रहे होते, किन्तु रसूलों को भेजनेवाले हम ही रहे है
English Sahih:
But We produced [many] generations [after Moses], and prolonged was their duration. And you were not a resident among the people of Madyan, reciting to them Our verses, but We were senders [of this message]. ([28] Al-Qasas : 45)
