اَفَمَنْ يَّتَّقِيْ بِوَجْهِهٖ سُوْۤءَ الْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ ۗوَقِيْلَ لِلظّٰلِمِيْنَ ذُوْقُوْا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْسِبُوْنَ ( الزمر: ٢٤ )
Then (is) he who
أَفَمَن
क्या भला वो जो
will shield
يَتَّقِى
बचेगा
with his face
بِوَجْهِهِۦ
साथ अपने चेहरे के
(the) worst
سُوٓءَ
बुरे
punishment
ٱلْعَذَابِ
अज़ाब से
(on the) Day
يَوْمَ
दिन
(of) the Resurrection?
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۚ
क़यामत के
And it will be said
وَقِيلَ
और कहा जाएगा
to the wrongdoers
لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ
ज़ालिमों से
"Taste
ذُوقُوا۟
चखो
what
مَا
जो
you used (to)
كُنتُمْ
थे तुम
earn"
تَكْسِبُونَ
तुम कमाई करते
Afaman yattaqee biwajhihi sooa al'athabi yawma alqiyamati waqeela lilththalimeena thooqoo ma kuntum taksiboona (az-Zumar 39:24)
Muhammad Faruq Khan Sultanpuri & Muhammad Ahmed:
अब क्या जो क़ियामत के दिन अपने चहरें को बुरी यातना (से बचने) की ढाल बनाएगा वह (यातना से सुरक्षित लोगों जैसा होगा)? और ज़ालिमों से कहा जाएगा, 'चखों मज़ा उस कमाई का, जो तुम करते रहे थे!'
English Sahih:
Then is he who will shield with his face the worst of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection [like one secure from it]? And it will be said to the wrongdoers, "Taste what you used to earn." ([39] Az-Zumar : 24)
