اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يُجَادِلُوْنَ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطٰنٍ اَتٰىهُمْ ۙاِنْ فِيْ صُدُوْرِهِمْ اِلَّا كِبْرٌ مَّا هُمْ بِبَالِغِيْهِۚ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللّٰهِ ۗاِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْبَصِيْرُ ( غافر: ٥٦ )
Inna allatheena yujadiloona fee ayati Allahi bighayri sultanin atahum in fee sudoorihim illa kibrun ma hum bibaligheehi faista'ith biAllahi innahu huwa alssamee'u albaseeru (Ghāfir 40:56)

जो लोग बिना किसी ऐसे प्रमाण के जो उनके पास आया हो अल्लाह की आयतों में झगड़ते है उनके सीनों में केवल अहंकार है जिसतक वे पहुँचनेवाले नहीं। अतः अल्लाह की शरण लो। निश्चय ही वह सुनता, देखता है
English Sahih:
Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without [any] evidence having come to them – there is not within their breasts except pride, [the extent of] which they cannot reach. So seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Seeing. ([40] Ghafir : 56)

जिन लोगों के पास (ख़ुदा की तरफ से) कोई दलील तो आयी नहीं और (फिर) वह ख़ुदा की आयतों में (ख्वाह मा ख्वाह) झगड़े निकालते हैं, उनके दिल में बुराई (की बेजां हवस) के सिवा कुछ नहीं हालाँकि वह लोग उस तक कभी पहुँचने वाले नहीं तो तुम बस ख़ुदा की पनाह माँगते रहो बेशक वह बड़ा सुनने वाला (और) देखने वाला है
