وَقَطَّعْنٰهُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ اُمَمًاۚ مِنْهُمُ الصّٰلِحُوْنَ وَمِنْهُمْ دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَ ۖوَبَلَوْنٰهُمْ بِالْحَسَنٰتِ وَالسَّيِّاٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ ( الأعراف: ١٦٨ )
Waqatta'nahum fee alardi omaman minhumu alssalihoona waminhum doona thalika wabalawnahum bialhasanati waalssayyiati la'allahum yarji'oona (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:168)

और हमने उन्हें टुकड़े-टुकड़े करके धरती में अनेक गिरोहों में बिखेर दिया। कुछ उनमें से नेक है और कुछ उनमें इससे भिन्न हैं, और हमने उन्हें अच्छी और बुरी परिस्थितियों में डालकर उनकी परीक्षा ली, कदाचित वे पलट आएँ
English Sahih:
And We divided them throughout the earth into nations. Of them some were righteous, and of them some were otherwise. And We tested them with good [times] and bad that perhaps they would return [to obedience]. ([7] Al-A'raf : 168)
