قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَآ اَنْفُسَنَا وَاِنْ لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ ( الأعراف: ٢٣ )
Both of them said
قَالَا
उन दोनों ने कहा
"Our Lord
رَبَّنَا
ऐ हमारे रब
we have wronged
ظَلَمْنَآ
ज़ुल्म किया हमने
ourselves
أَنفُسَنَا
अपनी जानों पर
and if
وَإِن
और अगर
not
لَّمْ
ना
You forgive
تَغْفِرْ
तूने बख़्शा हमें
[for] us
لَنَا
तूने बख़्शा हमें
and have mercy (on) us
وَتَرْحَمْنَا
और (ना) तूने रहम किया हम पर
surely we will be
لَنَكُونَنَّ
अलबत्ता हम ज़रूर हो जाऐंगे
among
مِنَ
ख़सारा पाने वालों में से
the losers"
ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
ख़सारा पाने वालों में से
Qala rabbana thalamna anfusana wain lam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoonanna mina alkhasireena (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:23)
Muhammad Faruq Khan Sultanpuri & Muhammad Ahmed:
दोनों बोले, 'हमारे रब! हमने अपने आप पर अत्याचार किया। अब यदि तूने हमें क्षमा न किया और हम पर दया न दर्शाई, फिर तो हम घाटा उठानेवालों में से होंगे।'
English Sahih:
They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers." ([7] Al-A'raf : 23)
