اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ عَاهَدْتُّمْ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْقُصُوْكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَّلَمْ يُظَاهِرُوْا عَلَيْكُمْ اَحَدًا فَاَتِمُّوْٓا اِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ اِلٰى مُدَّتِهِمْۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ ( التوبة: ٤ )
Illa allatheena 'ahadtum mina almushrikeena thumma lam yanqusookum shayan walam yuthahiroo 'alaykum ahadan faatimmoo ilayhim 'ahdahum ila muddatihim inna Allaha yuhibbu almuttaqeena (at-Tawbah 9:4)

सिवाय उन मुशरिकों के जिनसे तुमने संधि-समझौते किए, फिर उन्होंने तुम्हारे साथ अपने वचन को पूर्ण करने में कोई कमी नही की और न तुम्हारे विरुद्ध किसी की सहायता ही की, तो उनके साथ उनकी संधि को उन लोगों के निर्धारित समय तक पूरा करो। निश्चय ही अल्लाह को डर रखनेवाले प्रिय है
English Sahih:
Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him]. ([9] At-Tawbah : 4)

मगर (हाँ) जिन मुशरिकों से तुमने एहदो पैमान किया था फिर उन लोगों ने भी कभी कुछ तुमसे (वफ़ा एहद में) कमी नहीं की और न तुम्हारे मुक़ाबले में किसी की मदद की हो तो उनके एहद व पैमान को जितनी मुद्द्त के वास्ते मुक़र्रर किया है पूरा कर दो ख़ुदा परहेज़गारों को यक़ीनन दोस्त रखता है
