Surah [4] An-Nisa' : 83
ARBNDEENIDTRUR

وَاِذَا جَآءَهُمۡ اَمۡرٌ مِّنَ الۡاَمۡنِ اَوِ الۡخَـوۡفِ اَذَاعُوۡا بِهٖ‌ ۚ وَلَوۡ رَدُّوۡهُ اِلَى الرَّسُوۡلِ وَاِلٰٓى اُولِى الۡاَمۡرِ مِنۡهُمۡ لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِيۡنَ يَسۡتَنۡۢبِطُوۡنَهٗ مِنۡهُمۡ‌ؕ وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ لَاتَّبَعۡتُمُ الشَّيۡطٰنَ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلًا(النساء :83)

وَإِذَا
And when
جَآءَهُمْ
comes to them
أَمْرٌ
a matter
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْأَمْنِ
the security
أَوِ
or
ٱلْخَوْفِ
[the] fear
أَذَاعُوا۟
they spread
بِهِۦۖ
[with] it
وَلَوْ
But if
رَدُّوهُ
they (had) referred it
إِلَى
to
ٱلرَّسُولِ
the Messenger
وَإِلَىٰٓ
and to
أُو۟لِى
those
ٱلْأَمْرِ
(having) authority
مِنْهُمْ
among them
لَعَلِمَهُ
surely would have known it
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
يَسْتَنۢبِطُونَهُۥ
draw correct conclusion (from) it
مِنْهُمْۗ
among them
وَلَوْلَا
And if not
فَضْلُ
(had been the) bounty
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
عَلَيْكُمْ
on you
وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ
and His Mercy
لَٱتَّبَعْتُمُ
surely you (would have) followed
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ
the Shaitaan
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلًا
a few

Waitha jaahum amrun mina alamni awi alkhawfi atha'oo bihi walaw raddoohu ila alrrasooli waila olee alamri minhum la'alimahu allatheena yastanbitoonahu minhum walawla fadlu Allahi 'alaykum warahmatuhu laittaba'tumu alshshaytana illa qaleelan

Sahih International:

And when there comes to them information about [public] security or fear, they spread it around. But if they had referred it back to the Messenger or to those of authority among them, then the ones who [can] draw correct conclusions from it would have known about it. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have followed Satan, except for a few.
