هُوَ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ ضِيَاۤءً وَّالْقَمَرَ نُوْرًا وَّقَدَّرَهٗ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوْا عَدَدَ السِّنِيْنَ وَالْحِسَابَۗ مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ ذٰلِكَ اِلَّا بِالْحَقِّۗ يُفَصِّلُ الْاٰيٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَّعْلَمُوْنَ ( يونس: ٥ )
Huwal lazee ja'alash shamsa diyaaa'anw walqamara nooranw wa qaddarahoo manaaz zila lita'lamoo 'adadas sineena walhisaab; maa khalaqal laahu zaalika illa bilhaqq; yufassilul aayaati liqawminw ya'lamoon (al-Yūnus 10:5)
English Sahih:
It is He who made the sun a shining light and the moon a derived light and determined for it phases – that you may know the number of years and account [of time]. Allah has not created this except in truth. He details the signs for a people who know. (Yunus [10] : 5)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അവനാണ് സൂര്യനെ പ്രകാശമണിയിച്ചത്. ചന്ദ്രനെ പ്രശോഭിപ്പിച്ചതും അവന്‍ തന്നെ. അതിന് അവന്‍ വൃദ്ധിക്ഷയങ്ങള്‍ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അതുവഴി നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കൊല്ലങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണവും കണക്കും അറിയാന്‍. യാഥാര്‍ഥ്യ നിഷ്ഠമായല്ലാതെ അല്ലാഹു ഇതൊന്നും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. കാര്യം ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ജനത്തിനായി അല്ലാഹു തെളിവുകള്‍ വിശദീകരിക്കുകയാണ്. (യൂനുസ് [10] : 5)

സൂര്യനെ ഒരു പ്രകാശമാക്കിയത് അവനാകുന്നു. ചന്ദ്രനെ അവനൊരു ശോഭയാക്കുകയും, അതിന് ഘട്ടങ്ങള്‍ നിര്‍ണയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങള്‍ കൊല്ലങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണവും കണക്കും അറിയുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി. യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ മുറപ്രകാരമല്ലാതെ അല്ലാഹു അതൊന്നും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്ന ആളുകള്‍ക്കു വേണ്ടി അല്ലാഹു തെളിവുകള്‍ വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നു.
