وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّبَعُوْا لَوْ اَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّاَ مِنْهُمْ ۗ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُوْا مِنَّا ۗ كَذٰلِكَ يُرِيْهِمُ اللّٰهُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ حَسَرٰتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ ۗ وَمَا هُمْ بِخَارِجِيْنَ مِنَ النَّارِ ࣖ ( البقرة: ١٦٧ )
Wa qaalal lazeenat taba'oo law anna lanaa karratan fanatabarra a minhum kamaa tabarra'oo minnaa; kazaalika yureehimullaahu a'maalahum hasaraatin 'alaihim wa maa hum bikhaarijeena minan Naar (al-Baq̈arah 2:167)
English Sahih:
Those who followed will say, "If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us." Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 167)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അനുയായികള് അന്ന് പറയും: ''ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഒരു തിരിച്ചുപോക്കിന് അവസരമുണ്ടായെങ്കില് ഇവരിപ്പോള് ഞങ്ങളെ കൈവെടിഞ്ഞപോലെ ഇവരെ ഞങ്ങളും കൈവെടിയുമായിരുന്നു.'' അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ ചെയ്തികള് അവര്ക്ക് കൊടിയ ഖേദത്തിന് കാരണമായതായി അല്ലാഹു അവര്ക്ക് കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും. നരകത്തീയില്നിന്നവര്ക്ക് പുറത്തുകടക്കാനാവില്ല. (അല്ബഖറ [2] : 167)

പിന്തുടര്ന്നവര് (അനുയായികള്) അന്നു പറയും : ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് (ഇഹലോകത്തേക്ക്) ഒരു തിരിച്ചുപോക്കിന്നവസരം കിട്ടിയിരുന്നെങ്കില് ഇവര് ഞങ്ങളെ വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞ് മാറിയത് പോലെ ഞങ്ങള് ഇവരെ വിട്ടും ഒഴിഞ്ഞു മാറുമായിരുന്നു. അപ്രകാരം അവരുടെ കര്മ്മങ്ങളെല്ലാം അവര്ക്ക് ഖേദത്തിന് കാരണമായി ഭവിച്ചത് അല്ലാഹു അവര്ക്ക് കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും. നരകാഗ്നിയില് നിന്ന് അവര്ക്ക് പുറത്ത് കടക്കാനാവുകയുമില്ല.
