۞ اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذِيْنَ خَرَجُوْا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ وَهُمْ اُلُوْفٌ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِۖ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ اللّٰهُ مُوْتُوْا ۗ ثُمَّ اَحْيَاهُمْ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَذُوْ فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُوْنَ ( البقرة: ٢٤٣ )
Alam tara ilal lazeena kharajoo min diyaarihim wa hum uloofun hazaral mawti faqaaala lahumul laahu mootoo summa ahyaahum; innal laaha lazoo fadlin 'alannaasi wa laakinna aksarannaasi laa yashkuroon (al-Baq̈arah 2:243)
English Sahih:
Have you not considered those who left their homes in many thousands, fearing death? Allah said to them, "Die"; then He restored them to life. And Allah is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of the people do not show gratitude. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 243)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ആയിരങ്ങളുണ്ടായിട്ടും മരണഭയത്താല് തങ്ങളുടെ വീടുവിട്ടിറങ്ങിയ ജനതയുടെ അവസ്ഥ നീ കണ്ടില്ലേ? അല്ലാഹു അവരോട് കല്പിച്ചു: ''നിങ്ങള് മരിക്കൂ.'' പിന്നെ അല്ലാഹു അവരെ ജീവിപ്പിച്ചു. ഉറപ്പായും അല്ലാഹു മനുഷ്യരോട് ഔദാര്യമുള്ളവനാണ്. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യരിലേറെ പേരും നന്ദി കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല. (അല്ബഖറ [2] : 243)

ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകളുണ്ടായിട്ടും മരണഭയം കൊണ്ട് സ്വന്തം വീട് വിട്ട് ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോയ ഒരു ജനതയെപ്പറ്റി നീ അറിഞ്ഞില്ലേ? അപ്പോള് അല്ലാഹു അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു: 'നിങ്ങള് മരിച്ചു കൊള്ളുക.' പിന്നീട് അല്ലാഹു അവര്ക്ക് ജീവന് നല്കി. തീര്ച്ചയായും അല്ലാഹു മനുഷ്യരോട് ഔദാര്യം കാണിക്കുന്നവനാകുന്നു. പക്ഷെ മനുഷ്യരില് അധികപേരും നന്ദികാണിക്കുന്നില്ല.
