۞ اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذِيْنَ خَرَجُوْا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ وَهُمْ اُلُوْفٌ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِۖ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ اللّٰهُ مُوْتُوْا ۗ ثُمَّ اَحْيَاهُمْ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَذُوْ فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُوْنَ ( البقرة: ٢٤٣ )
Alam tara ila allatheena kharajoo min diyarihim wahum oloofun hathara almawti faqala lahumu Allahu mootoo thumma ahyahum inna Allaha lathoo fadlin 'ala alnnasi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yashkuroona (al-Baq̈arah 2:243)

क्या तुमने उन लोगों को नहीं देखा जो हज़ारों की संख्या में होने पर भी मृत्यु के भय से अपने घर-बार छोड़कर निकले थे? तो अल्लाह ने उनसे कहा, 'मृत्यु प्राय हो जाओ तुम।' फिर उसने उन्हें जीवन प्रदान किया। अल्लाह तो लोगों के लिए उदार अनुग्राही है, किन्तु अधिकतर लोग कृतज्ञता नहीं दिखलाते
English Sahih:
Have you not considered those who left their homes in many thousands, fearing death? Allah said to them, "Die"; then He restored them to life. And Allah is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of the people do not show gratitude. ([2] Al-Baqarah : 243)

ताकि तुम समझो (ऐ रसूल) क्या तुम ने उन लोगों के हाल पर नज़र नही की जो मौत के डर के मारे अपने घरों से निकल भागे और वह हज़ारो आदमी थे तो ख़ुदा ने उन से फरमाया कि सब के सब मर जाओ (और वह मर गए) फिर ख़ुदा न उन्हें जिन्दा किया बेशक ख़ुदा लोगों पर बड़ा मेहरबान है मगर अक्सर लोग उसका शुक्र नहीं करते
