فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا قَوْلًا غَيْرَ الَّذِيْ قِيْلَ لَهُمْ فَاَنْزَلْنَا عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا رِجْزًا مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَفْسُقُوْنَ ࣖ ( البقرة: ٥٩ )
Fabaddalal lazeena zalamoo qawlan ghairal lazee qeela lahum fa anzalnaa 'alal lazeena zalamoo rijzam minas samaaa'i bimaa kaanoo yafsuqoon (al-Baq̈arah 2:59)
English Sahih:
But those who wronged changed [those words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who wronged a punishment [i.e., plague] from the sky because they were defiantly disobeying. (Al-Baqarah [2] : 59)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
എന്നാല് ആ അക്രമികള്, തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതിനുപകരം മറ്റൊരു വാക്കാണ് സ്വീകരിച്ചത്. അതിനാല് അക്രമികള്ക്കുമേല് നാം മാനത്തുനിന്ന് ശിക്ഷയിറക്കി. അവര് അധര്മം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചതിനാല്. (അല്ബഖറ [2] : 59)
