فَوَسْوَسَ اِلَيْهِ الشَّيْطٰنُ قَالَ يٰٓاٰدَمُ هَلْ اَدُلُّكَ عَلٰى شَجَرَةِ الْخُلْدِ وَمُلْكٍ لَّا يَبْلٰى ( طه: ١٢٠ )
fawaswasa
فَوَسْوَسَ
Then whispered
അങ്ങനെ ദുര്ബോധനം നടത്തി
ilayhi
إِلَيْهِ
to him
അദ്ദേഹത്തോടു
l-shayṭānu
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
Shaitaan
പിശാചു, ചെകുത്താന്
qāla
قَالَ
he said
അവന് പറഞ്ഞു
yāādamu
يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ
"O Adam!
ആദമേ
hal adulluka
هَلْ أَدُلُّكَ
Shall I direct you
നിനക്കു ഞാന് അറിയിച്ചു തരട്ടെയോ
ʿalā shajarati l-khul'di
عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ ٱلْخُلْدِ
to (the) tree (of) the Eternity
നിത്യവാസത്തിന്റെ വൃക്ഷത്തെപ്പറ്റി
wamul'kin
وَمُلْكٍ
and a kingdom
ഒരു രാജത്വത്തെയും
lā yablā
لَّا يَبْلَىٰ
not (that will) deteriorate?"
നശിച്ചുപോകാത്ത
Fa waswasa ilaihish Shaitaanu qaala yaaa Aadamu hal adulluka 'alaa shajaratil khuldi wa mulkil laa yablaa (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:120)
English Sahih:
Then Satan whispered to him; he said, "O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and possession that will not deteriorate?" (Taha [20] : 120)

എന്നാല് പിശാച് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഇങ്ങനെ ദുര്ബോധനം നല്കി: ''ആദമേ, താങ്കള്ക്ക് നിത്യജീവിതവും അന്യൂനമായ ആധിപത്യവും നല്കുന്ന ഒരു വൃക്ഷം കാണിച്ചുതരട്ടെയോ?'' (ത്വാഹാ [20] : 120)
