وَقَالُوْا لَوْلَا يَأْتِيْنَا بِاٰيَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّهٖۗ اَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِمْ بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِى الصُّحُفِ الْاُولٰى ( طه: ١٣٣ )
waqālū
وَقَالُوا۟
And they say
അവര്‍ പറയുന്നു
lawlā yatīnā
لَوْلَا يَأْتِينَا
"Why not he brings us
അവന്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു (നമുക്കു) കൊണ്ടുവരാത്തതെന്താണ്
biāyatin
بِـَٔايَةٍ
a sign
ഒരു ദൃഷ്ടാന്തവും
min rabbihi
مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓۚ
from his Lord?"
അവന്റെ റബ്ബിന്റെ പക്കല്‍നിന്ന്
awalam tatihim
أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِم
Has not come to them
അവര്‍ക്കു വന്നെത്തിയിട്ടില്ലയോ
bayyinatu mā
بَيِّنَةُ مَا
evidence (of) what
യാതൊന്നിന്റെ തെളിവു
fī l-ṣuḥufi
فِى ٱلصُّحُفِ
(was) in the Scriptures
ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിലുള്ള, ഏടുകളിലുള്ള
l-ūlā
ٱلْأُولَىٰ
the former?
പൂര്‍വ്വ, മുമ്പുള്ളതായ
Wa qaaloo law laa yaateenaa bi Aayatim mmir Rabbih; awalam taatihim baiyinatu maa fis suhufil oolaa (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:133)
English Sahih:
And they say, "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has there not come to them evidence of what was in the former scriptures? (Taha [20] : 133)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അവര്‍ ചോദിക്കുന്നു: ''ഇയാള്‍ തന്റെ നാഥനില്‍നിന്ന് ദൈവികമായ അടയാളമൊന്നും കൊണ്ടുവരാത്തതെന്ത്?'' പൂര്‍വവേദങ്ങളിലെ വ്യക്തമായ തെളിവുകളൊന്നും അവര്‍ക്കു വന്നുകിട്ടിയിട്ടില്ലേ? (ത്വാഹാ [20] : 133)
