وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهٗ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيْ مَآ اَفَضْتُمْ فِيْهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيْمٌ ( النور: ١٤ )
walawlā
وَلَوْلَا
And if not
ഇല്ലായിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍
faḍlu l-lahi
فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ
(for the) Grace (of) Allah
അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദയവു, ദാക്ഷിണ്യം, അനുഗ്രഹം
ʿalaykum
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you
നിങ്ങളില്‍, നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്
waraḥmatuhu
وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ
and His Mercy
അവന്റെ കാരുണ്യവും
fī l-dun'yā
فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا
in the world
ഇഹത്തില്‍
wal-ākhirati
وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
and the Hereafter
പരത്തിലും
lamassakum
لَمَسَّكُمْ
surely would have touched you
നിങ്ങളെ സ്പര്‍ശിച്ചിരുന്നു, ബാധിച്ചിരുന്നു
fī mā
فِى مَآ
in what
യാതൊരു കാര്യത്തില്‍
afaḍtum fīhi
أَفَضْتُمْ فِيهِ
you had rushed glibly concerning it
നിങ്ങള്‍ അതില്‍ മുഴുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു (അങ്ങിനെയുള്ളതില്‍)
ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun
عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
a punishment great
വമ്പിച്ച ശിക്ഷ
Wa law laa fadlul laahi 'alaikum wa rahmatuhoo fiddunyaa wal aakhirati lamassakum fee maaa afadtum feehi 'azaabun 'azeem (an-Nūr 24:14)
English Sahih:
And if it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy in this world and the Hereafter, you would have been touched for that [lie] in which you were involved by a great punishment (An-Nur [24] : 14)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ഇഹത്തിലും പരത്തിലും അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹവും കാരുണ്യവും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍, ഈ അപവാദവാര്‍ത്തകളില്‍ മുഴുകിക്കഴിഞ്ഞതിന്റെ പേരില്‍ നിങ്ങളെ കഠിനമായ ശിക്ഷ ബാധിക്കുമായിരുന്നു. (അന്നൂര്‍ [24] : 14)
