۞ فَلَمَّا قَضٰى مُوْسَى الْاَجَلَ وَسَارَ بِاَهْلِهٖٓ اٰنَسَ مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّوْرِ نَارًاۗ قَالَ لِاَهْلِهِ امْكُثُوْٓا اِنِّيْٓ اٰنَسْتُ نَارًا لَّعَلِّيْٓ اٰتِيْكُمْ مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ اَوْ جَذْوَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُوْنَ ( القصص: ٢٩ )
Falammmaa qadaa Moosal ajala wa saara bi ahliheee aanasa min jaanibit Toori naaran qaala li ahlihim kusooo inneee aanastu naaral la 'alleee aateekum minhaa bikhabarin aw jazwatim minan naari la 'allakum tastaloon (al-Q̈aṣaṣ 28:29)
English Sahih:
And when Moses had completed the term and was traveling with his family, he perceived from the direction of the mount a fire. He said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire. Perhaps I will bring you from there [some] information or burning wood from the fire that you may warm yourselves." (Al-Qasas [28] : 29)

അങ്ങനെ മൂസ ആ അവധി പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കി. പിന്നെ തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെയും കൂട്ടി യാത്ര തിരിച്ചു. അപ്പോള്‍ ആ മലയുടെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം തീ കണ്ടു. മൂസ തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞു: ''നില്‍ക്കൂ. ഞാന്‍ ഒരു തീ കാണുന്നുണ്ട്. അവിടെ നിന്നു വല്ല വിവരവുമായി വരാം. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊരു തീക്കൊള്ളി കൊണ്ടുവന്നുതരാം. നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു തീ കായാമല്ലോ.'' (അല്‍ഖസ്വസ്വ് [28] : 29)

അങ്ങനെ മൂസാ ആ അവധി നിറവേറ്റുകയും, തന്റെ കുടുംബവും കൊണ്ട് യാത്രപോകുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള്‍ പര്‍വ്വതത്തിന്‍റെ ഭാഗത്ത് നിന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു തീ കണ്ടു. അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തോട് പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള്‍ നില്‍ക്കൂ. ഞാനൊരു തീ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അവിടെ നിന്ന് വല്ല വിവരമോ, അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഒരു തീക്കൊള്ളിയോ ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് തന്നേക്കാം. നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് തീ കായാമല്ലോ?
