وَكَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ ۢ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيْشَتَهَا ۚفَتِلْكَ مَسٰكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَنْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًاۗ وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِيْنَ ( القصص: ٥٨ )
Wa kam ahlaknaa min qaryatim batirat ma'eeshatahaa fatilka masaainuhum lam tuskam mim ba'dihim illaa qaleelaa; wa kunnaa Nahnul waariseen (al-Q̈aṣaṣ 28:58)
English Sahih:
And how many a city have We destroyed that was insolent in its [way of] living, and those are their dwellings which have not been inhabited after them except briefly. And it is We who were the inheritors. (Al-Qasas [28] : 58)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
എത്രയെത്ര നാടുകളെയാണ് നാം നശിപ്പിച്ചത്. അവിടത്തുകാര് ജീവിതാസ്വാദനത്തില് മതിമറന്ന് അഹങ്കരിക്കുന്നവരായിരുന്നു. അതാ അവരുടെ പാര്പ്പിടങ്ങള്! അവര്ക്കുശേഷം അല്പംചിലരല്ലാതെ അവിടെ താമസിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. അവസാനം അവയുടെ അവകാശി നാം തന്നെയായി. (അല്ഖസ്വസ്വ് [28] : 58)
