وَلَنُذِيْقَنَّهُمْ مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ الْاَدْنٰى دُوْنَ الْعَذَابِ الْاَكْبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ ( السجدة: ٢١ )
walanudhīqannahum
وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم
And surely We will let them taste
അവര്ക്കു നാം ആസ്വദിപ്പിക്കുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും
mina l-ʿadhābi
مِّنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ
of the punishment
ശിക്ഷയില്നിന്നു
l-adnā
ٱلْأَدْنَىٰ
the nearer
താണതായ, അടുത്തതായ
dūna l-ʿadhābi
دُونَ ٱلْعَذَابِ
before the punishment
ശിക്ഷക്കുപുറമെ
l-akbari
ٱلْأَكْبَرِ
the greater
ഏറ്റവും വലിയ
laʿallahum
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
അവരായേക്കാം, ആകുവാന് വേണ്ടി
yarjiʿūna
يَرْجِعُونَ
return
മടങ്ങുക, മടങ്ങുന്ന(വര്)
Wa lanuzeeqan nahum minal 'azaabil ladnaa doonal 'azaabil akbari la'allahum yarji'oon (as-Sajdah 32:21)
English Sahih:
And We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will return [i.e., repent]. (As-Sajdah [32] : 21)

ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ആ ശിക്ഷ കൂടാതെ ഇഹലോകത്ത് ചില ചെറിയ ശിക്ഷകള് നാമവരെ അനുഭവിപ്പിക്കും. ഒരുവേള അവര് സത്യത്തിലേക്കു തിരിച്ചുവന്നെങ്കിലോ. (അസ്സജദ [32] : 21)
