لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْۢبَغِيْ لَهَآ اَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا الَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ ۗوَكُلٌّ فِيْ فَلَكٍ يَّسْبَحُوْنَ ( يس: ٤٠ )
lā l-shamsu
لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ
Not the sun
സൂര്യനില്ല
yanbaghī lahā
يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ
is permitted for it -
അതിനു യോജിക്കുക, പറ്റുക(യില്ല)
an tud'rika
أَن تُدْرِكَ
that it overtakes
അതു പ്രാപിക്കല്, കണ്ടുമുട്ടല്
l-qamara
ٱلْقَمَرَ
the moon
ചന്ദ്രനെ
walā al-laylu
وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ
and not the night
രാത്രിയുമല്ല
sābiqu l-nahāri
سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِۚ
(can) outstrip the day
പകലിനെ മുന്കടക്കുന്നതു
wakullun
وَكُلٌّ
but all
എല്ലാം, എല്ലാവരും
fī falakin
فِى فَلَكٍ
in an orbit
ഓരോ സഞ്ചാരമണ്ഡല(പഥ)ത്തില്
yasbaḥūna
يَسْبَحُونَ
they are floating
നീന്തുന്നു
Lash shamsu yambaghee lahaaa an tudrikal qamara wa lal lailu saabiqun nahaar; wa kullun fee falaki yasbahoon (Yāʾ Sīn 36:40)
English Sahih:
It is not allowable [i.e., possible] for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. (Ya-Sin [36] : 40)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
ചന്ദ്രനെ എത്തിപ്പിടിക്കാന് സൂര്യനു സാധ്യമല്ല. പകലിനെ മറികടക്കാന് രാവിനുമാവില്ല. എല്ലാ ഓരോന്നും നിശ്ചിത ഭ്രമണപഥത്തില് നീന്തിത്തുടിക്കുകയാണ്. (യാസീന് [36] : 40)
