وَاِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتُنَا بَيِّنٰتٍ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوا ائْتُوْا بِاٰبَاۤىِٕنَآ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ( الجاثية: ٢٥ )
wa-idhā tut'lā
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ
And when are recited
ഓതിക്കേള്‍പ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതായാല്‍
ʿalayhim
عَلَيْهِمْ
to them
അവര്‍ക്കു, അവരില്‍
āyātunā
ءَايَٰتُنَا
Our Verses
നമ്മുടെ ആയത്തു (ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം, ലക്ഷ്യം, വേദവാക്യം)കള്‍
bayyinātin
بَيِّنَٰتٍ
clear
വ്യക്തമായ നിലയില്‍, തെളിവുകളായി
mā kāna
مَّا كَانَ
not is
ആയിരിക്കയില്ല
ḥujjatahum
حُجَّتَهُمْ
their argument
അവരുടെ ന്യായം
illā an qālū
إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟
except that they say
അവര്‍ പറയുകയല്ലാതെ
i'tū
ٱئْتُوا۟
"Bring
നിങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന്‍
biābāinā
بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ
our forefathers
നമ്മുടെ (ഞങ്ങളുടെ) പിതാക്കളെ
in kuntum
إِن كُنتُمْ
if you are
നിങ്ങളാണെങ്കില്‍
ṣādiqīna
صَٰدِقِينَ
truthful"
സത്യവാന്മാര്‍
Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim aayaatuna baiyinaatim maa kaana hujjatahum illaaa an qaalu'too bi aabaaa'inaaa in kuntum saadiqeen (al-Jāthiyah 45:25)
English Sahih:
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." (Al-Jathiyah [45] : 25)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
നമ്മുടെ വചനങ്ങള്‍ അവരെ വ്യക്തമായി വായിച്ചുകേള്‍പ്പിച്ചാല്‍ അവര്‍ക്കു ന്യായവാദമായി പറയാനുള്ളത് ഇതുമാത്രമായിരിക്കും: ''നിങ്ങള്‍ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കളെ ജീവിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവരിക; നിങ്ങള്‍ സത്യവാദികളെങ്കില്‍!'' (അല്‍ജാസിയ [45] : 25)
