وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنّٰهُمْ فِيْمَآ اِنْ مَّكَّنّٰكُمْ فِيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ سَمْعًا وَّاَبْصَارًا وَّاَفْـِٕدَةًۖ فَمَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَلَآ اَبْصَارُهُمْ وَلَآ اَفْـِٕدَتُهُمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ اِذْ كَانُوْا يَجْحَدُوْنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ࣖ ( الأحقاف: ٢٦ )
Wa laqad makkannaahum feemaaa im makkannaakum feehi waj'alnaa lahum sam'anw wa absaaranw wa af'idatan famaaa aghnaa 'anhum samu'uhum wa laaa absaaruhum wa laaa af'idatuhum min shai'in iz kaanoo yajhadoona bi Aayaatil laahi wa haaqa bihim maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon (al-ʾAḥq̈āf 46:26)
English Sahih:
And We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts [i.e., intellect]. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule. (Al-Ahqaf [46] : 26)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ചില സൗകര്യങ്ങള് നാം അവര്ക്ക് നല്കിയിരുന്നു. അവര്ക്കു നാം കേള്വിയും കാഴ്ചയും ബുദ്ധിയുമേകി. എന്നാല് ആ കേള്വിയോ കാഴ്ചയോ ബുദ്ധിയോ അവര്ക്ക് ഒട്ടും ഉപകരിച്ചില്ല. കാരണം, അവര് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ നിഷേധിച്ചു തള്ളുകയായിരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ അവര് ഏതിനെയാണോ പരിഹസിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നത് അതവരെ വലയം ചെയ്തു. (അല്അഹ്ഖാഫ് [46] : 26)

നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് നാം സ്വാധീനം നല്കിയിട്ടില്ലാത്ത മേഖലകളില് അവര്ക്കു നാം സ്വാധീനം നല്കുകയുണ്ടായി. കേള്വിയും കാഴ്ചകളും ഹൃദയങ്ങളും അവര്ക്കു നല്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്നാല് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളെ അവര് നിഷേധിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നതിനാല് അവരുടെ കേള്വിയും കാഴ്ചകളും ഹൃദയങ്ങളും അവര്ക്ക് യാതൊരു പ്രയോജനവും ചെയ്തില്ല. എന്തൊന്നിനെ അവര് പരിഹസിച്ചിരുന്നുവോ അത് അവരില് വന്നുഭവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
