لِّئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ اَهْلُ الْكِتٰبِ اَلَّا يَقْدِرُوْنَ عَلٰى شَيْءٍ مِّنْ فَضْلِ اللّٰهِ وَاَنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللّٰهِ يُؤْتِيْهِ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ ۗوَاللّٰهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيْمِ ࣖ ۔ ( الحديد: ٢٩ )
Li'alla ya'lama Ahlul kitaabi allaa yaqdiroona 'alaa shai'im min fadlil laahi wa annal fadla bi Yadil laahi u'teehi many yashaaa'; wallaahu Zul fadilil 'azeem (al-Ḥadīd 57:29)
English Sahih:
[This is] so that the People of the Scripture may know that they are not able [to obtain] anything from the bounty of Allah and that [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty. (Al-Hadid [57] : 29)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തില്നിന്ന് ഒന്നും തട്ടിയെടുക്കാന് തങ്ങള്ക്കാവില്ലെന്നും അനുഗ്രഹം അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ കൈയിലാണെന്നും അത് താനുദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് അവന് നല്കുമെന്നും, വേദവാഹകര് അറിയുവാന് വേണ്ടിയാണിത്. അല്ലാഹു അതിമഹത്തായ ഔദാര്യത്തിനുടമയാകുന്നു. (അല്ഹദീദ് [57] : 29)

അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തില് നിന്ന് യാതൊന്നും അധീനപ്പെടുത്തുവാന് തങ്ങള്ക്ക് കഴിവില്ലെന്നും തീര്ച്ചയായും അനുഗ്രഹം അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ കയ്യിലാണെന്നും അത് അവന് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് അവന് നല്കുമെന്നും വേദക്കാര് അറിയാന് വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഇത്. അല്ലാഹു മഹത്തായ അനുഗ്രഹമുള്ളവനാകുന്നു.
