وَكَذٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لِّيَقُوْلُوْٓا اَهٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ مَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنْۢ بَيْنِنَاۗ اَلَيْسَ اللّٰهُ بِاَعْلَمَ بِالشّٰكِرِيْنَ ( الأنعام: ٥٣ )
Wa kazaalika fatannaa ba'dahum biba'dil liyaqoolooo ahaaa'ulaaa'i mannal laahu 'alaihim mim baininaa; alaisal laahu bi-a'lama bish shaakireen (al-ʾAnʿām 6:53)
English Sahih:
And thus We have tried some of them through others that they [i.e., the disbelievers] might say, "Is it these whom Allah has favored among us?" Is not Allah most knowing of those who are grateful? (Al-An'am [6] : 53)

അവ്വിധം അവരില്‍ ചിലരെ നാം മറ്റുചിലരാല്‍ പരീക്ഷണത്തിലകപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ''ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില്‍നിന്ന് ഇവരെയാണോ അല്ലാഹു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചത്'' എന്ന് അവര്‍ പറയാനാണിത്. നന്ദിയുള്ളവരെ നന്നായറിയുന്നവന്‍ അല്ലാഹുവല്ലയോ? (അല്‍അന്‍ആം [6] : 53)

അപ്രകാരം അവരില്‍ ചിലരെ മറ്റു ചിലരെക്കൊണ്ട് നാം പരീക്ഷണവിധേയരാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില്‍ നിന്ന് അല്ലാഹു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത് ഇക്കൂട്ടരെയാണോ എന്ന് അവര്‍ പറയുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയത്രെ അത്. നന്ദികാണിക്കുന്നവരെപ്പറ്റി അല്ലാഹു നല്ലവണ്ണം അറിയുന്നവനല്ലയോ?
