قُلْ لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِنْ يَّنْتَهُوْا يُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ مَّا قَدْ سَلَفَۚ وَاِنْ يَّعُوْدُوْا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ ( الأنفال: ٣٨ )
Qul lillazeena kafarooo iny yantahoo yughfar lahum maa qad salafa wa iny ya'oodoo faqad madat sunnatul awwaleen (al-ʾAnfāl 8:38)
English Sahih:
Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for them. But if they return [to hostility] – then the precedent of the former [rebellious] peoples has already taken place. (Al-Anfal [8] : 38)

സത്യനിഷേധികളോടു പറയുക: ഇനിയെങ്കിലുമവര് വിരമിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് മുമ്പ് കഴിഞ്ഞതൊക്കെ അവര്ക്കു പൊറുത്തുകൊടുക്കും. അഥവാ, അവര് പഴയത് ആവര്ത്തിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് അവര് ഓര്ക്കട്ടെ; പൂര്വികരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ നടപടിക്രമം നടന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞതാണല്ലോ. (അല്അന്ഫാല് [8] : 38)

സത്യനിഷേധികളോട്, അവര് വിരമിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് അവര് മുമ്പ് ചെയ്തുപോയിട്ടുള്ളത് അവര്ക്കു പൊറുത്തുകൊടുക്കപ്പെടുന്നതാണ് എന്ന് നീ പറയുക. ഇനി അവര് (നിഷേധത്തിലേക്കു തന്നെ) മടങ്ങുകയാണെങ്കിലോ, പൂര്വ്വികന്മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് (അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ) നടപടി കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.
