مَا كَانَ لِاَهْلِ الْمَدِيْنَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُمْ مِّنَ الْاَعْرَابِ اَنْ يَّتَخَلَّفُوْا عَنْ رَّسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا يَرْغَبُوْا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ عَنْ نَّفْسِهٖۗ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ لَا يُصِيْبُهُمْ ظَمَاٌ وَّلَا نَصَبٌ وَّلَا مَخْمَصَةٌ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا يَطَـُٔوْنَ مَوْطِئًا يَّغِيْظُ الْكُفَّارَ وَلَا يَنَالُوْنَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَّيْلًا اِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ بِهٖ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُضِيْعُ اَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ( التوبة: ١٢٠ )
Maa kaana li ahlil Madeenati wa man hawlahum minal A'raabi ai yatakhallafoo 'ar-Rasoolil laahi wa laa yarghaboo bi anfusihim 'an nafsih; zaalika bi annahum laa yuseebuhum zama unw wa laa nasabunw wa laa makhmasatun fee sabeelil laahi wa laa yata'oona mawti'ai yagheezul kuffaara wa laa yanaaloona min 'aduwwin nailan illaa kutiba lahum bihee 'amalun saalih; innal laaha laa yudee'u ajral muhsineen (at-Tawbah 9:120)
English Sahih:
It was not [proper] for the people of Madinah and those surrounding them of the bedouins that they remain behind after [the departure of] the Messenger of Allah or that they prefer themselves over his self. That is because they are not afflicted by thirst or fatigue or hunger in the cause of Allah, nor do they tread on any ground that enrages the disbelievers, nor do they inflict upon an enemy any infliction but that it is registered for them as a righteous deed. Indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of the doers of good. (At-Tawbah [9] : 120)
Karakunnu/Elayavoor (കാരകുന്ന് & എളയാവൂര്):
മദീനക്കാര്ക്കും അവരുടെ പരിസരത്തുള്ള പ്രാകൃത അറബികള്ക്കും അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദൂതനെ വിട്ട് വീട്ടിലിരിക്കാനോ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജീവന്റെ കാര്യം അവഗണിച്ച് തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം കാര്യം നോക്കാനോ അനുവാദമില്ല. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ മാര്ഗത്തില് അവരെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന വിശപ്പ്, ദാഹം, ക്ഷീണം, സത്യനിഷേധികളെ പ്രകോപിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഇടങ്ങളിലൊക്കെയുള്ള അവരുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം; എതിരാളിക്ക് ഏല്പിക്കുന്ന നാശം, ഇതൊക്കെയും അവരുടെ പേരില് സല്ക്കര്മമായി രേഖപ്പെടുത്താതിരിക്കുകയില്ല എന്നതിനാലാണത്. സല്ക്കര്മികളുടെ പ്രതിഫലം അല്ലാഹു നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തുകയില്ല; തീര്ച്ച. (അത്തൗബ [9] : 120)
1 Abdul Hameed/Parappoor (അബ്ദുല് ഹമീദ് & പറപ്പൂര്)
മദീനക്കാര്ക്കും അവരുടെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള അഅ്റാബികള്ക്കും അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദൂതനെ വിട്ട് പിന്മാറി നില്ക്കാനോ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കാര്യം അവഗണിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവരവരുടെ (സ്വന്തം) കാര്യങ്ങളില് താല്പര്യം കാണിക്കാനോ പാടുള്ളതല്ല. അതെന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാല് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ മാര്ഗത്തില് അവര്ക്ക് ദാഹവും ക്ഷീണവും വിശപ്പും നേരിടുകയോ, അവിശ്വാസികളെ പ്രകോപിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വല്ല സ്ഥാനത്തും അവര് കാല് വെക്കുകയോ, ശത്രുവിന് വല്ല നാശവും ഏല്പിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന പക്ഷം അതു കാരണം അവര്ക്ക് ഒരു സല്കര്മ്മം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തപ്പെടാതിരിക്കുകയില്ല. തീര്ച്ചയായും സുകൃതം ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്കുള്ള പ്രതിഫലം അല്ലാഹു നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തിക്കളയുന്നതല്ല.
