قُلْ لَّوْ كَانَ مَعَهٗ ٓ اٰلِهَةٌ كَمَا يَقُوْلُوْنَ اِذًا لَّابْتَغَوْا اِلٰى ذِى الْعَرْشِ سَبِيْلًا ( الإسراء: ٤٢ )
Say
قُل
கூறுவீராக
"If (there) were
لَّوْ كَانَ
இருந்திருந்தால்
with Him
مَعَهُۥٓ
அவனுடன்
gods
ءَالِهَةٌ
பல கடவுள்கள்
as they say
كَمَا يَقُولُونَ
அவர்கள் கூறுவது போல்
then
إِذًا
அப்போது
surely they (would) have sought
لَّٱبْتَغَوْا۟
தேடியிருப்பார்கள்
to
إِلَىٰ
பக்கம்
(the) Owner (of) the Throne
ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ
அர்ஷ் உடையவன்
a way"
سَبِيلًا
ஒரு வழியை
Qul law kaana ma'ahooo aalihatun kamaa yaqooloona izal labtaghaw ilaa zil 'Arshi Sabeela (al-ʾIsrāʾ 17:42)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
(ஆகவே, நபியே! அவர்களை நோக்கி) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: நீங்கள் சொல்வது போல் அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறு தெய்வங்கள் இருந்தால், அவை அர்ஷையுடைய (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய அ)வன் பக்கம் செல்லக்கூடிய வழியைக் கண்டுபிடித்து (அவனிடம் சென்றே) இருக்கும்.
English Sahih:
Say, [O Muhammad], "If there had been with Him [other] gods, as they say, then they [each] would have sought to the Owner of the Throne a way." ([17] Al-Isra : 42)
