قَالَا رَبَّنَآ اِنَّنَا نَخَافُ اَنْ يَّفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَآ اَوْ اَنْ يَّطْغٰى ( طه: ٤٥ )
They said
قَالَا
இருவரும் கூறினர்
"Our Lord!
رَبَّنَآ
எங்கள் இறைவன்
Indeed we
إِنَّنَا
நிச்சயமாக நங்கள்
fear
نَخَافُ
பயப்படுகிறோம்
that he will hasten
أَن يَفْرُطَ
அவசரப்படுவதை
against us
عَلَيْنَآ
எங்கள் மீது
or
أَوْ
அல்லது
that he will transgress"
أَن يَطْغَىٰ
வரம்பு மீறுவதை
Qaalaa Rabbanaaa innanaa nakhaafu ai yafruta 'alainaaa aw ai yatghaa (Ṭāʾ Hāʾ 20:45)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
அதற்கு அவ்விருவரும் "எங்கள் இறைவனே! அவன் எங்கள் மீது (வரம்பு) மீறி கொடுமை செய்வானோ அல்லது விஷமம் செய்வானோ என்று நாங்கள் பயப்படுகிறோம்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.
English Sahih:
They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." ([20] Taha : 45)
