وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوٰىۙ ( النازعات: ٤٠ )
But as for (him) who
وَأَمَّا مَنْ
ஆகவே யார்
feared
خَافَ
பயந்தான்
standing
مَقَامَ
(தான்) நிற்கின்ற நாளை
(before) his Lord
رَبِّهِۦ
தன் இறைவனுக்கு முன்
and restrained
وَنَهَى
இன்னும் தடுத்தானோ
his soul
ٱلنَّفْسَ
ஆன்மாவை
from the vain desires
عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ
இச்சையை விட்டு
Wa ammaa man khaafa maqaama Rabbihee wa nahan nafsa 'anil hawaa (an-Nāziʿāt 79:40)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
எவன் தன் இறைவனின் சந்நிதியில் (விசாரணைக்காக) நிற்பதைப் (பற்றிப்) பயந்து, (தப்பான) சரீர இச்சையை விட்டுத் தன்னைத் தடுத்துக்கொண்டானோ,
English Sahih:
But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, ([79] An-Nazi'at : 40)
