وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَاَنْتَ فِيْهِمْۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَ ( الأنفال: ٣٣ )
But not is
وَمَا كَانَ
இல்லை
(for) Allah
ٱللَّهُ
அல்லாஹ்
that He punishes them
لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ
அவர்களை வேதனை செய்பவனாக
while you
وَأَنتَ
நீர் இருக்க
(are) among them
فِيهِمْۚ
அவர்களுடன்
and not is
وَمَا كَانَ
இல்லை
Allah
ٱللَّهُ
அல்லாஹ்
the One Who punishes them
مُعَذِّبَهُمْ
வேதனை செய்பவனாக/அவர்களை
while they
وَهُمْ
அவர்கள் இருக்க
seek forgiveness
يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
மன்னிப்புத் தேடுபவர்களாக
Wa maa kanal laahu liyu'az zibahum wa anta feehim; wa maa kaanal laahu mu'az zibahum wa hum yastaghfiroon (al-ʾAnfāl 8:33)
Abdul Hameed Baqavi:
ஆனால், நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கிடையில் இருக்கும் வரையில் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை வேதனை செய்யமாட்டான். அன்றி, அவர்கள் மன்னிப்பைக் கோரிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் வரையிலும் அல்லாஹ் வேதனை செய்யமாட்டான்.
English Sahih:
But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness. ([8] Al-Anfal : 33)
