مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اَنْ يَّسْتَغْفِرُوْا لِلْمُشْرِكِيْنَ وَلَوْ كَانُوْٓا اُولِيْ قُرْبٰى مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ اَنَّهُمْ اَصْحٰبُ الْجَحِيْمِ ( التوبة: ١١٣ )
Maa kaana lin nabiyyi wallazeena aamanooo ai yastaghfiroo lilmushrikeena wa law kaanoo ulee qurbaa mim ba'di maa tabiyana lahum annahum Ashaabul jaheem (at-Tawbah 9:113)

இணைவைத்து வணங்குபர்களுக்காக மன்னிப்புக் கோருவது நபிக்கோ நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுக்கோ தகுமானதல்ல; அவர்கள் (இவர்களுக்கு) நெருங்கிய பந்துக்களாகயிருந்தாலும் சரியே! அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக நரகவாசிகள்தான் என்று இவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவானதன் பின்னர் (எவ்வாறு அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்புக் கோரலாம்?)
English Sahih:
It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire. ([9] At-Tawbah : 113)
