وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَآ اِلٰٓى اُمَمٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ بِالْبَأْسَاۤءِ وَالضَّرَّاۤءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُوْنَ ( الأنعام: ٤٢ )
walaqad
وَلَقَدْ
And certainly
必定|和
arsalnā
أَرْسَلْنَآ
We sent (Messengers)
我们派遣
ilā
إِلَىٰٓ
to
至
umamin
أُمَمٍ
nations
各民族
min
مِّن
from
从
qablika
قَبْلِكَ
before you
你的|之前
fa-akhadhnāhum
فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم
then We seized them
他们|我们惩治|因此
bil-basāi
بِٱلْبَأْسَآءِ
with adversity
穷困|在
wal-ḍarāi
وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ
and hardship
患难|和
laʿallahum
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
他们|以便
yataḍarraʿūna
يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
humble themselves
他们谦逊
Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaaa umamim min qablika fa akhaznaahum bilbaasaaa'i waddarraaa'i la'allahum yata darra'oon (al-ʾAnʿām 6:42)
English Sahih:
And We have already sent [messengers] to nations before you, [O Muhammad]; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves [to Us]. (Al-An'am [6] : 42)
Ma Jian (Simplified):
在你之前，我确已派遣（许多使者）去教化各民族，（他们否认使者的使命），故，我以穷困和患难惩治他们，以便他们谦逊。 (牲畜 [6] : 42)
