لَوْ كَانَ عَرَضًا قَرِيْبًا وَّسَفَرًا قَاصِدًا لَّاتَّبَعُوْكَ وَلٰكِنْۢ بَعُدَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّقَّةُۗ وَسَيَحْلِفُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْنَا لَخَرَجْنَا مَعَكُمْۚ يُهْلِكُوْنَ اَنْفُسَهُمْۚ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ اِنَّهُمْ لَكٰذِبُوْنَ ࣖ ( التوبة: ٤٢ )

and a journey

surely they (would) have followed you

وَلَٰكِنۢ
but
但是|和
baʿudat
بَعُدَتْ
was long
它长远
ʿalayhimu
عَلَيْهِمُ
for them
他们|在
l-shuqatu
ٱلشُّقَّةُۚ
the distance
距离
wasayaḥlifūna
وَسَيَحْلِفُونَ
And they will swear
他们发誓|将|和
bil-lahi
بِٱللَّهِ
by Allah
真主|在
is'taṭaʿnā
ٱسْتَطَعْنَا
we were able
我们能够
lakharajnā
لَخَرَجْنَا
certainly we (would) have come forth
我们出发|必定
maʿakum
مَعَكُمْ
with you"
你们的|共同
yuh'likūna
يُهْلِكُونَ
They destroy
他们灭亡
anfusahum
أَنفُسَهُمْ
their own selves
他们的|自己
wal-lahu
وَٱللَّهُ
and Allah
真主|和
yaʿlamu
يَعْلَمُ
knows
他知道
innahum
إِنَّهُمْ
(that) indeed they
他们|确实
lakādhibūna
لَكَٰذِبُونَ
(are) surely liars
众说谎者|必定
Law kaana 'aradan qareebanw wa safaran qaasidal lattaba'ooka wa laakim ba'udat 'alaihimush shuqqah; wa sayahlifoona billaahi lawis tata'naa lakharajnaa ma'akum; yuhlikoona anfusahum wal laahu ya'lamu innahum lakaa ziboon (at-Tawbah 9:42 )
English Sahih: Had it been a near [i.e., easy] gain and a moderate trip, they [i.e., the hypocrites] would have followed you, but distant to them was the journey. And they will swear by Allah, "If we were able, we would have gone forth with you," destroying themselves [through false oaths], and Allah knows that indeed they are liars. (At-Tawbah [9] : 42 )
Ma Jian (Simplified):
假若那是临近的浮利和中程的旅行，他们必定追随你，但那距离对他们太遥远了。他们将以安拉发誓说：“假若我们能出征，我们必定与你们一道出征。”他们自陷于灭亡。安拉知道，他们确是说谎的。 (忏悔 [9] : 42 )

1 Mokhtasar Chinese如果那些你们曾召唤，而不愿前往并向你告假的伪信士知道战利品很容易获得，行程又不艰辛的话，先知啊！他们必定会追随你。当你要求他们去的路途遥远，就斩断了他们杀敌的念头，故不愿前往。当你回来时，这些曾不愿前往而告假的伪信士将会发誓说：“如果我们能与你们一道，那我们必定会出征。”他们自毁灭亡。他们放弃出征的原因就是其虚假的信仰，真主确知他们的谎言，确知他们的信仰。
