وَلَمَّا سُقِطَ فِيْٓ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَرَاَوْا اَنَّهُمْ قَدْ ضَلُّوْاۙ قَالُوْا لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ يَرْحَمْنَا رَبُّنَا وَيَغْفِرْ لَنَا لَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ ( الأعراف: ١٤٩ )
Wa Lammā Suqiţa Fī 'Aydīhim Wa Ra'aw 'Annahum Qad Đallū Qālū La'in Lam Yarĥamnā Rabbunā Wa Yaghfir Lanā Lanakūnanna Mina Al-Khāsirīna. (al-ʾAʿrāf 7:149)

Und als sich bei ihnen die Reue einstellte und sie sahen, daß sie bereits irregegangen waren, sagten sie; "Wenn sich unser Herr nicht unser erbarmt und uns vergibt, werden wir ganz gewiß zu den Verlierern gehören!" ([7] al-Araf (Die Höhen) : 149)
English Sahih:
And when regret overcame them and they saw that they had gone astray, they said, "If our Lord does not have mercy upon us and forgive us, we will surely be among the losers." ([7] Al-A'raf : 149)
