وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَاَنْتَ فِيْهِمْۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللّٰهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَ ( الأنفال: ٣٣ )
But not
وَمَا
Und nicht
is
كَانَ
ist
(for) Allah
ٱللَّهُ
Allah,
that He punishes them
لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ
dass er sie bestraft,
while you
وَأَنتَ
während du
(are) among them
فِيهِمْۚ
(bist) unter ihnen
and not
وَمَا
und nicht
is
كَانَ
ist
Allah
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
the One Who punishes them
مُعَذِّبَهُمْ
ein Strafender,
while they
وَهُمْ
während sie
seek forgiveness
يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
um Vergebung bitten.
Wa Mā Kāna Allāhu Liyu`adhdhibahum Wa 'Anta Fīhim Wa Mā Kāna Allāhu Mu`adhdhibahum Wa Hum Yastaghfirūna. (al-ʾAnfāl 8:33)
A. S. F. Bubenheim and N. Elyas:
Aber Allah würde sie nimmer strafen, solange du unter ihnen bist; und Allah würde sie nimmer strafen, solange sie um Vergebung bitten. ([8] al-Anfal (Die Beute) : 33)
English Sahih:
But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness. ([8] Al-Anfal : 33)
