Yunus Verse 28

˹Consider˺ the Day We will gather them all together then say to those who associated others ˹with Allah in worship˺, “Stay in your places—you and your associate-gods.” We will separate them from each other, and their associate-gods will say, “It was not us that you worshipped!

On the Day when We gather them all together, then We will say to those who associated partners with Us, “Stay where you are, you and your [so-called] partners!” Then We will separate them, and their partners will say, “It was not us that you used to worship!

And the day We shall muster them all, then We shall say to those who associate other gods with God: 'Get you to your place, you and your associates!' Then We shall set a space between them, and their associates will say, 'Not us you were serving.

On the Day We gather them all together, We shall say to those who associate partners with God, ‘Stay in your place, you and your partner-gods.’ Then We shall separate them, and their partner-gods will say, ‘It was not us you worshipped-

Remember the Day whereon We shall gather them together, then We shall say un to those who associated: keep your place, ye and your associate gods. Then We shall cause split between them: and their associate-gods will say: it was not us that ye were worshipping.

One day shall We gather them all together. Then shall We say to those who joined gods (with Us); "To your place! ye and those ye joined as 'partners' We shall separate them, and their "Partners" shall say; "It was not us that ye worshipped!

And the Day when We shall muster them all together, We shall say to those who associated others with Allah in His divinity: 'Keep to your places - you and those whom you associated with Allah.' Then We shall remove the veil of foreignness separating them. Those whom they had associated with Allah will say. 'It was not us that you worshipped.

The day We shall gather them all together We shall say to the idolaters: "Take your stand with the compeers you worshipped as the equals of God." We shall then create a rift between them, and the compeers will say: "You did not worship us;

And on the day when We raise all of them together, then say to the polytheists, “Stay in your place – you and your partners (false deities)”; so We shall separate them from the believers, and their partners will say to them, “When did you ever worship us!?”

On the day when We gather them all together, We shall say to those who ascribe partners [to Allah], ‘Stay where you are—you and your partners!’ Then We shall set them apart from one another, and their partners will say, ‘It was not us that you worshipped.

On that Day We will raise them all to life and gather them all together, and then We will order those who associated partners with God: "Get to your place, you and your (so-called) associates (of God)!" So did We distinguish between them and the believers, and separate them from their associates. Their associates say to them: "It was not us that you worshipped.

And (imagine) the day when We shall muster all the people together, then We shall say to those who associated partners (with God), `Keep to your places (in Gehenna) you and your (associated) partners (with God).´ Then We shall separate them thoroughly one from another, and their (associated) partners (with God) will say (to them), `Surely, it was not us that you worshipped;

And a day We gather them all/all together , then We say to those who shared/made partners (with God): "Your place/position, you and your partners (with God)." So We separated/dispersed between them, and their partners (with God) said: "You were not us worshipping."

And on the day when We raise all of them together, then say to the polytheists, "Stay in your place - you and your partners (false deities)"; so We shall separate them from the believers, and their partners will say to them, "When did you ever worship us!?"

But, as for those who have earned ill, the reward of evil is the like thereof; abasement (ignominy) shall cover them - They shall have none to protect them against Allah - as though their faces were veiled with the deep darkness of the night. Such are the Companions of the Fire, and they shall dwell therein.

And the Day whereon We shall gather them all together, then We shall say to those who did set partners in worship with Us: "Stop at your place! You and your partners (whom you had worshipped in the worldly life)." then We shall separate them, and their (Allah's so-called) partners shall say: "It was not us that you used to worship."

And those who earn evil, the punishment of an evil is the like thereof, and abasement will cover them -- they will have none to protect them from Allah -- as if their faces had been covered with slices of the dense darkness of night. These are the companions of the Fire; therein they will abide.

And on the day when We will gather them all together, then We will say to those who associated others (with Allah): Keep where you are, you and your associates; then We shall separate them widely one from another and their associates would say: It was not us that you served:

On the day when We gather them all together, then We say unto those who ascribed partners (unto Us): Stand back, ye and your (pretended) partners (of Allah)! And We separate them, the one from the other, and their (pretended) partners say: It was not us ye worshipped.

We will tell the pagans on the day when every one is resurrected, "Stand with your idols wherever you are." Then We will separate them (from their idols) and their idols will protest against them saying, "You did not worship us.

And on the Day when We assemble them all together, We shall say to those who associated (other gods with Allah): 'Go to your place, you and your associates' Then, We will separate them, and their associates will say (to them): 'It was not us that you worshipped'

And the Day whereon We shall gather them all together, then We shall say to those who did set partners in worship with Us: "Stop at your place! You and your partners." Then We shall separate them, and their partners shall say: "It was not us that you used to worship."

On the Day when We gather them all together, We shall say to those who ascribed partners to God, "Keep to your places, you and your partners!" Then We shall separate them from one another and their partner-gods will say, "It was not us that you worshipped.

On the Day when We will gather them altogether, then say to those who ascribed partners, “To your place, you and your partners.” Then We will separate between them, and their partners will say, “It was not us you were worshiping.”

And, mention, the day on which We shall gather them, that is, creation, all together, then We shall say to those who associated others [with God]; `In your place! (maknakum is in the accusative because ilzam, `adhere to', is implied [sc. ilzam maknakum]). You (antum; this emphasises the [second person plural] subject concealed in the implied verb [ilzam], and allows for the supplement [that follows];) and your associates!', that is, the idols. Then We shall make a separation, We shall distinguish, between them, and the believers, as [is stated] in the verse, wa'mtz'l-yawma ayyuh'l-mujrimn, `Now be separate, you sinners, upon this day!' [Q. 36;59]; and their associates will say, to them; `It was not us that you were worshipping (m [of m-kuntum, `you were not ...'] is for negation; the direct object [iyyn, `us'] precedes the verb in order [to accord] with the end-rhyme [of the Qur'nic verse];

The gods of the Idolators will claim Innocence from them on the Day of Resurrection

Allah said;

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا


And the Day whereon We shall gather them all together,

Allah will gather together all the creatures of earth, human and Jinn, righteous and rebellious.

He said in another Ayah;

وَحَشَرْنَـهُمْ فَلَمْ نُغَادِرْ مِنْهُمْ أَحَداً

and We shall gather them all together so as to leave not one of them behind. (18;47)

ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ مَكَانَكُمْ أَنتُمْ وَشُرَكَأوُ

كُمْ

then We shall say to those who did associate partners;"Stop at your place! You and your partners."

He then will command the idolators to stay where they are and not to move from their destined places so they would be separated from the place of the believers.

فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ

Then We shall separate them,

Similarly, Allah said;

وَامْتَازُواْ الْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ

(It will be said);"And O you the criminals! Get you apart this Day (from the believers). (36;59)

Allah also said;

وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَيِذٍ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ

And on the Day when the Hour will be established - that Day shall (all men) be separated (the believers will be separated from the disbelievers). (30;14)

In the same Surah Allah said;

يَوْمَيِذٍ يَصَّدَّعُونَ

On that Day men shall be divided. (30;43)

means, they shall be divided in two.

This is what will take place when Allah Almighty will come for Final Judgement. The believers intercede to Allah so the Final Judgement may come and they get rid of that state.

The Prophet said,

نَحْنُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى كُومٍ فَوْقَ النَّاس

On the Day of Resurrection, we will be in a visible place above the (other) people.

Allah tells us here what He is going to command the idolators and their idols to do on the Day of Resurrection

مَكَانَكُمْ أَنتُمْ وَشُرَكَأوُ

كُمْ فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ

"Stop at your place! You and your partners." Then We shall separate them,

and that they would deny their worship and claim their innocence from them.

Similarly, Allah said;

كَلَّ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَـدَتِهِمْ

Nay, but they will deny their worship of them. (19;82)

إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذِينَ اتُّبِعُواْ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُواْ

When those who were followed declare themselves innocent of those who followed (them). (2;166)

and;

وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّن يَدْعُو مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَن لاَّ يَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَـمَةِ وَهُمْ عَن دُعَأيِهِمْ غَـفِلُونَ

وَإِذَا حُشِرَ النَّاسُ كَانُواْ لَهُمْ أَعْدَاءً

And who is more astray than one who calls on (invokes) besides Allah, such as will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection, and who are (even) unaware of their calls (invocations) to them. And when mankind are gathered (on the Day of Resurrection), they (false deities) will become their enemies. (46;5-6)

This refers to the partners responding to those who worshipped them,

وَقَالَ شُرَكَأوُهُم مَّا كُنتُمْ إِيَّانَا تَعْبُدُونَ



and their partners shall say;"It was not us that you used to worship."

Then Allah said;

فَكَفَى بِاللّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِن كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَافِلِينَ
