Hud Verse 97

to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they followed the command of Pharaoh, and Pharaoh’s command was not well guided.

to Pharaoh and his courtiers, but they followed the command of Pharaoh, even though the command of Pharaoh was misguided.

to Pharaoh and his Council; but they followed Pharaoh's command, and Pharaoh's command was not right-minded.

to Pharaoh and his supporters, but they followed Pharaoh’s orders, and Pharaoh’s orders were misguided.

Unto Firawn and his chiefs. But they followed the commandment of Fir'awn, and the commandment of Fir'awn was not right- minded.

Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs; but they followed the command of Pharaoh and the command of Pharaoh was no right (guide).

to Pharaoh and his nobles. But they obeyed the command of Pharaoh even though Pharaoh's command was not rightly-directed.

To the Pharaoh and his nobles, but they followed the bidding of Pharaoh, though the bidding of Pharaoh was unrightful.

Towards Firaun and his court members, thereupon they followed the commands of Firaun; and the work of Firaun was not proper.

to Pharaoh and his elite, but they followed Pharaoh’s dictates, and Pharaoh’s dictates were not right-minded.

To the Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they (his chiefs, his own people, and many among the Children of Israel) followed the rule of the Pharaoh; and the rule of the Pharaoh was by no means a guide right and just (and no tyrant in the mould of the Pharaoh has ever done differently).

To Pharaoh and the nobles of his court, but they carried out Pharaoh´s bidding; whereas the bidding of Pharaoh was not at all right directed.

To Pharaoh and his nobles/group/assembly, so they followed Pharaoh`s order/command, and Pharaoh`s order/command is not with (the) correct/right guidance.

Towards Firaun and his court members, thereupon they followed the commands of Firaun; and the work of Firaun was not proper.

And We sent Moses with our signs (revelations) and with obvious (clear) power

To Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they followed the command of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the command of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) was no right guide.

And certainly We sent Moses with Our signs and a clear authority,

To Firon and his chiefs, but they followed the bidding of Firon, and Firon's bidding was not right-directing.

Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they did follow the command of Pharaoh, and the command of Pharaoh was no right guide.

They followed the order of the Pharaoh but Pharaoh's orders were evil.

to Pharaoh and his Council. But they followed the command of Pharaoh, and Pharaoh's command was not rightminded.

To Fir`awn and his chiefs, but they followed the command of Fir`awn, and the command of Fir`awn was no right guide.

to Pharaoh and his nobles. But they followed the command of Pharaoh and the command of Pharaoh was not rightly directed.

To Pharaoh and his nobles, but they followed the command of Pharaoh, and the command of Pharaoh was not wise.

to Pharaoh and his council; but they followed Pharaoh's command, and Pharaoh's command was not right- guided, appropriate.

إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَيِهِ

And indeed We sent Musa with Our Ayat and a manifest authority. To Fir`awn and his chiefs,

In these verses Allah informs of His sending Musa with His signs and clear proofs to Fir`awn, the king of the Coptic people, and his chiefs.

فَاتَّبَعُواْ أَمْرَ فِرْعَوْنَ

but they followed the command of Fir`awn.

This means that they followed his path, way and methodology in transgression.

وَمَا أَمْرُ فِرْعَوْنَ بِرَشِيدٍ



and the command of Fir`awn was no right guide.

This means there was no right guidance in it. It was only ignorance, misguidance, disbelief and stubbornness.

Just as they followed him in this life and he was their leader and chief, likewise he will lead them to the Hellfire on the Day of Resurrection. He will lead them directly to it and they will drink from springs of destruction. Fir`awn will have a great share in that awful punishment.

This is as Allah, the Exalted, said,

فَعَصَى فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذْنَـهُ أَخْذاً وَبِيلً

But Fir`awn disobeyed the Messenger; so We seized him with a severe punishment. (73;16)

Allah also said,

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَى

ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَى

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَى

فَقَالَ أَنَاْ رَبُّكُمُ الاٌّعْلَى

فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الاٌّخِرَةِ وَالاٍّوْلَى

إِنَّ فِى ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَى

But Fir`awn belied and disobeyed. Then he turned his back, striving (against Allah). Then he gathered (his people) and cried aloud, Saying;"I am your lord, most high."

So Allah, seized him with exemplary punishment for his last and first transgression. Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. (79;21-26)

Allah also said,

يَقْدُمُ قَوْمَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَأَوْرَدَهُمُ النَّارَ

وَبِيْسَ الْوِرْدُ الْمَوْرُودُ
