Al-Hijr Verse 6

They say, “O you to whom the Reminder[[ i.e., the Quran.]] is revealed! You must be insane!

They say, “O you to whom the Reminder has been sent down, You are surely insane!

They say: 'Thou, upon whom the Remembrance is sent down, thou art assuredly possessed!

They say, ‘Receiver of this Quran! You are definitely mad.

And they say: O thou unto whom the Admonition hath been sent down! verily thou art possessed.

They say; "O thou to whom the Message is being revealed! truly thou art mad (or possessed)!

They say: "O you to whom the Admonition has been revealed, you are surely crazed.

And yet they say: "You, to whom this Exposition has been sent are surely possessed of the Devil.

And they said, “O you upon whom the Qur’an has been sent, you are indeed insane.”

They said, ‘O you, to whom the Reminder has been sent down, you are indeed crazy.

They say: "O you, on whom the Reminder (the Book of advice, warning, and instructions) is sent down, truly you are a madman.

And they say, `O you to whom this Reminder (- the Qur´ân) has been revealed! you are a mad man indeed.

And they said: "You, you who the reminder/remembrance was descended on him, that you are mad/insane (E)."

And they said, "O you upon whom the Qur’an has been sent, you are indeed insane."

But they say, "O you to whom the Reminder (the Quran) has been sent down! Verily, you are possessed.

And they say: "O you (Muhammad SAW) to whom the Dhikr (the Quran) has been sent down! Verily, you are a mad man.

No people can hasten on their doom, nor can they postpone (it).

And they say: O you to whom the Reminder has been revealed! you are most surely insane:

And they say: O thou unto whom the Reminder is revealed, lo! thou art indeed a madman!

(The unbelievers have said), "You to whom the Quran has been revealed are insane.

They say: 'You to whom the Remembrance is sent down, you are indeed mad.

And they say: "O you (Muhammad) to whom the Dhikr (the Qur'an) has been revealed! Verily, you are a madman!

They say, "You to whom the Reminder [the Quran] has been sent down, you are surely possessed.

And they said, “O you who received the message, you are insane.”

And they, that is, the disbelievers of Mecca, say, to the Prophet (s); `O you, to whom the Remembrance, the Qur'n -- as you claim -- has been revealed, lo! you are indeed possessed!

The Accusation that the Prophet was a Madman and Demands for Him to bring down Angels

Allah tells;

وَقَالُواْ

And they say;

Allah tells about the disbelief, arrogance and stubbornness of the disbelievers as reflected in their words;

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الذِّكْرُ

O you (Muhammad) to whom the Dhikr (the Qur'an) has been revealed!

i.e., the one who claims to receive it.

إِنَّكَ لَمَجْنُونٌ



Verily, you are a mad man!

i.e., by your invitation to us to follow you and leave the way of our forefathers.

لَّوْ مَا تَأْتِينَا بِالْمَليِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
