وَاِذَآ اَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْاِنْسَانِ اَعْرَضَ وَنَاٰ بِجَانِبِهٖۚ وَاِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ كَانَ يَـُٔوْسًا ( الإسراء: ٨٣ )
wa-idhā
وَإِذَآ
And when
anʿamnā
أَنْعَمْنَا
We bestow favor
ʿalā
عَلَى
on
l-insāni
ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ
man
aʿraḍa
أَعْرَضَ
he turns away
wanaā
وَنَـَٔا
and becomes remote
bijānibihi
بِجَانِبِهِۦۖ
on his side
wa-idhā
وَإِذَا
And when
massahu
مَسَّهُ
touches him
l-sharu
ٱلشَّرُّ
the evil
kāna
كَانَ
he is
yaūsan
يَـُٔوسًا
(in) despair
Wa izaaa an'amnaa 'alal insaani a'rada wa na-aa bijaani bihee wa izaa massahush sharru kaana ya'oosaa (al-ʾIsrāʾ 17:83)
Sahih International:
And when We bestow favor upon man [i.e., the disbeliever], he turns away and distances himself; and when evil touches him, he is ever despairing. (Al-Isra [17] : 83)

When We bestow Our favor upon man, he avoids (to recognize it) and keeps himself far aside (from obedience), and when some evil touches him, he is in total despair.
