فَعَسٰى رَبِّيْٓ اَنْ يُّؤْتِيَنِ خَيْرًا مِّنْ جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهَا حُسْبَانًا مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ فَتُصْبِحَ صَعِيْدًا زَلَقًاۙ ( الكهف: ٤٠ )
faʿasā
فَعَسَىٰ
It may be
rabbī
رَبِّىٓ
that my Lord
an
أَن
that my Lord
yu'tiyani
يُؤْتِيَنِ
will give me
khayran
خَيْرًا
better
min
مِّن
than
jannatika
جَنَّتِكَ
your garden
wayur'sila
وَيُرْسِلَ
and will send
ʿalayhā
عَلَيْهَا
upon it
ḥus'bānan
حُسْبَانًا
a calamity
mina
مِّنَ
from
l-samāi
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the sky
fatuṣ'biḥa
فَتُصْبِحَ
then it will become
ṣaʿīdan
صَعِيدًا
ground
zalaqan
زَلَقًا
slippery
Fa'asaa Rabeee any yu'tiyani khairam min jannatika wa yursila 'alaihaa husbaanam minas samaaa'i fatusbiha sa'eedan zalaqaa (al-Kahf 18:40)
Sahih International:
It may be that my Lord will give me [something] better than your garden and will send upon it a [disastrous] penalty from the sky, and it will become a smooth, dusty ground, (Al-Kahf [18] : 40)

then, it is likely that my Lord will give me (what is) better than your garden, and will send to it a punishment from the heavens, and it will become a barren land.
