Al-Furqan Verse 52

So do not yield to the disbelievers, but strive diligently against them with this ˹Quran˺.

So do not obey the disbelievers, but strive against them with this [Qur’an] a great striving.

So obey not the unbelievers, but struggle with them thereby mightily.

so do not give in to the disbelievers: strive hard against them with this Quran.

Se obey not thou the infidels, but strive against them therewith with a great striving.

Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an).

So, O Prophet, do not yield to the disbelievers, but wage a Jihad against them with this Qur'an.

So do not listen to unbelievers, and strive against them with greater effort.

So do not listen to the disbelievers and, with this Qur’an, fight a great war against them.

So do not obey the faithless, but wage a great jihad against them with it.

(But We have willed instead that you are the last Messenger whose mission is universal.) So pay no heed to (the desires of) the unbelievers, but engage in a mighty striving against them by means of it (the Qur’an).

So do not follow the disbelievers, and strive hard against them with the help of this (Qur´ân), a mighty striving.

So do not obey the disbelievers and struggle against them with it great struggling/defending for the faith.

So do not listen to the disbelievers and, with this Qur’an, fight a great war against them.

But, had We pleased, We could have raised a Warner in every village (or population centre).

So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them (by preaching) with the utmost endeavour, with it (the Quran).

And if We pleased, We could raise a warner in every town.

So do not follow the unbelievers, and strive against them a mighty striving with it.

So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them herewith with a great endeavour.

Do not yield to the unbelievers but launch a great campaign against them with the help of the Quran.

So do not obey the unbelievers, but struggle mightily with it (the Koran).

So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost endeavor with it.

so do not yield to those who deny the truth, but strive with the utmost strenuousness by means of this [Quran, to convey its message to them].

So do not obey the disbelievers, but strive against them with it, a mighty struggle.

So do not obey the disbelievers, in their desires, but struggle against them therewith, that is, through [adherence to] the Qur'n, with a great endeavour.

فَلَ تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُم بِهِ

So obey not the disbelievers, but strive hard against them with it.

meaning, with the Qur'an.

This was the view of Ibn Abbas.

جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا



with the utmost endeavour.

This is like the Ayah,

يَأَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ جَـهِدِ الْكُفَّـرَ وَالْمُنَـفِقِينَ

O Prophet! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, (9;73)

Allah says
