Ash-Shu'ara Verse 157

But they killed her, becoming regretful.

But they hamstrung her, then they became regretful,

But they hamstrung her, and in the morning they were remorseful,

But they hamstrung her. In the morning they had cause to regret it:

Then they hamstrung her; and then they became regretful.

But they ham-strung her; then did they become full of regrets.

But they hamstrung her and then regretted it.

But they hamstrung her; and on the morrow were repentant,

So they hamstrung her, and in the morning could only regret.

But they hamstrung her, whereupon they became regretful.

But (after a time, being unable to put up with it any longer,) they cruelly slaughtered her, and then became regretful,

Notwithstanding (all this warning) they hamstrung her and then they became regretful.

So they wounded it/slaughtered it/made it infertile, so they became/became in the morning regretful/remorseful .

So they hamstrung her, and in the morning could only regret.

"Touch her not with evil, lest there seize you the retribution of an awful day."

He said: This is a she-camel; she has her portion of water, and you have your portion of water at an appointed time.
