Ash-Shu'ara Verse 61

When the two groups came face to face, the companions of Moses cried out, “We are overtaken for sure.”

When the two groups saw each other, the companions of Moses said, “We are surely overtaken!”

and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!'

and as soon as the two sides came within sight of one another, Moses’ followers said, ‘We shall definitely be caught.’

And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken.

And when the two bodies saw each other, the people of Moses said; "We are sure to be overtaken."

and when the groups came face to face, the companions of Moses cried out: "We are overtaken!"

When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken."

And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.”

When the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, ‘Indeed we have been caught up.’

When the two hosts came in view of each other, the companions of Moses said: "We are certainly overtaken!"

And when the two hosts sighted each other the companions of Moses said, `We are surely overtaken.´

So when the two groups/gatherings saw each other, Moses` friends/company said: "That we are being caught up/overtaken (E) ."

And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.”

And they pursued them at dawn;

And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken."

Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the Children of Israel.

So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken.

And when the two hosts saw each other, those with Moses said: Lo! we are indeed caught.

The people of the Pharaoh pursued them at sunrise.

And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached'

And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa said: "We are sure to be overtaken."

and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken."

When the two groups sighted each other, the followers of Moses said, “We are being overtaken.”

And when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, `We have been caught!', Pharaoh's hosts have caught us up and we have no power against them.

فَلَمَّا تَرَاءى الْجَمْعَانِ

And when the two hosts saw each other,

means, each group saw the other.

At that point,

قَالَ أَصْحَابُ مُوسَى إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ



the companions of Musa said;"We are sure to be overtaken."

This was because Fir`awn and his people caught up with them on the shores of the Red Sea, so the sea was ahead of them and Fir`awn and his troops were behind them. Hence they said;
إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ
(We are sure to be overtaken).

قَالَ كَلَّ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
