An-Naml Verse 86

Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest in and the day bright?[[ To demonstrate His ability to bring people back to life, Allah usually refers to some wonders of His creation, such as the planets, the alternation of the day and night, the mountains, and the development of the human embryo. ]] Surely in this are signs for those who believe.

Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest in, and made the day bright? Indeed, there are signs in this for people who believe.

Have they not seen how We made the night for them, to repose in it, and the day, to see? Surely in that is a sign for a people who are believers.

Did they not see that We gave them the night for rest, and the day for light? There truly are signs in this for those who believe.

Observe they not that We have appointed the night that they may repose therein, and the day sight-giving? Verily herein are signs unto a people who believe.

See they not that We have made the Night for them to rest in and the Day to give them light? Verily in this are Signs for any people that believe!

Did they not perceive that We had made the night so that they may repose in it and made the day clear and shining. Surely there are Signs in this for those who believe.

Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest, the day to make things clear? Indeed there are signs in this for people who believe.

Did they not see that We created the night for them to rest in, and created the day providing sight? Indeed in this are signs for the people who have faith.

Do they not see that We made the night that they may rest in it, and the day to provide visibility. There are indeed signs in that for a people who have faith.

Have they not noticed that We have made the night so that they may rest in it, and the day sight-giving (for them to work in)? Surely in this are signs for people who will believe.

Do they not consider that We have made the night for them to rest and (have made) the day for giving light. Surely, in this there are signs for a people who would believe.

Do they not see/understand that We created/put the night to be tranquil/settled in it, and the daytime to see (clearly lit), that truly in that (are) evidences/signs (E) to a nation believing.

Did they not see that We created the night for them to rest in, and created the day providing sight? Indeed in this are signs for the people who have faith.

And the Word shall be fulfiled concerning them because they did wrong, and they will not be able to speak.

See they not that We have made the night for them to rest therein, and the day sight-giving? Verily, in this are Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for the people who believe.

Until, when they come, He will say: Did you reject My messages, while you did not comprehend them in knowledge? Or what was it that you did?

Do they not consider that We have made the night that. they may rest therein, and the day to give light? Most surely there are signs in this for a people who believe.

Have they not seen how We have appointed the night that they may rest therein, and the day sight-giving? Lo! therein verily are portents for a people who believe.

Have they not seen that We have created the night for them to rest and the day for them to see. In this there is evidence for the believing people.

Have they not seen how We have made the night for them to rest in and the day to see? Surely, there are signs in this for the nation who believe.

See they not that We have made the night for them to rest therein, and the day sight-giving Verily, in this are Ayat for the people who believe.

Do they not see that We have made the night for them to rest in and the day to give them light? There are certainly signs in that for people who believe.

Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest therein, and the day for visibility? Surely in that are signs for people who believe.

Do they not see that We made, We created, the night that they, like others, may rest in it, and the day for sight?, meaning, [for people] to see in it, so that they may go about their business therein. Surely in that there are signs, indications of His power, exalted be He, for a people who believe -- they [the believers] are singled out for mention because they benefit from such [signs] in their faith, in contrast to the disbelievers.

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِيَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ



See they not that We have made the night for them to rest therein,

Due to the darkness of the night they halt their activities and calm themselves down, to recover from the exhausting efforts of the day.

وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا

and the day sight-giving,

meaning filled with light, so that they can work and earn a living, and travel and engage in business, and do other things that they need to do.

إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَايَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُوْمِنُونَ



Verily, in this are Ayat for the people who believe
