Ali 'Imran Verse 16

who pray, “Our Lord! We have believed, so forgive our sins and protect us from the torment of the Fire.”

those who say, “Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”

who say, 'Our Lord, we believe; forgive us our sins, and guard us against the chastisement of the Fire' --

those who say, “Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us our sins and protect us from suffering in the Fire,”

Those who say our Lord! verify we! we have believed, wherefore forgive us our sins, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.

(Namely), those who say; "Our Lord! we have indeed believed; forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire;"-

These are the ones who pray: 'Our Lord! We do indeed believe, so forgive us our sins and keep us safe from the chastisement of the Fire';

who say: "O Lord, we believe; forgive our trespasses and save us the torment of Hell."

Those who say, “Our Lord! we have accepted faith, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of fire.”

Those who say, ‘Our Lord! Indeed, we have faith. So forgive us our sins, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.’

Those (the God-revering, pious) pray: "Our Lord, we do indeed believe, so forgive us our sins and guard us against the punishment of the Fire."

Who say, `Our Lord! we have certainly believed, therefore protect us against (the consequences of) our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire.´

Those who say: "Our Lord, that we truly believed, so forgive for us our crimes and protect us/make us avoid the fire`s torture

Those who say, “Our Lord! we have accepted faith, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of fire.”

Those who say, "Lord, we do, indeed, believe. Forgive you our sins and keep us from the torment of the fire

Those who say: "Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire."

Say: Shall I tell you of what is better than these? For those who guard against evil are Gardens with their Lord, in which rivers flow, to abide in them, and pure companions and Allah’s goodly pleasure. And Allah is Seer of the servants.

Those who say: Our Lord! surely we believe, therefore forgive us our faults and save us from the chastisement of the fire.

Those who say: Our Lord! Lo! we believe. So forgive us our sins and guard us from the punishment of Fire;

(Such will be the reward of) those who say, "Lord, we have believed in you. Forgive us our sins and save us from the torment of fire,"

Those are they who say: 'Lord, we believe in You, forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire',

Those who say: "Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire."

those who say, "Lord, we believe in You, forgive us our sins and keep us from the punishment of the Fire,"

Those who say, “Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us our sins, and save us from the suffering of the Fire.”

Those (alladhna is either an adjectival qualification of, or a substitution for, the previous alladhna) who say; "O, Our Lord, we believe, in You and in Your Prophet; so forgive us our sins, and guard us from the chastisement of the Fire".

The Supplication and Description of Al-Muttaqin

Allah describes the Muttaqin, His pious servants, whom He promised tremendous rewards,

الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا امَنَّا

Those who say;"Our Lord! We have indeed believed,"

in You, Your Book and Your Messenger.

فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا

so forgive us our sins,

because of our faith in You and in what You legislated for us. Therefore, forgive us our errors and shortcomings, with Your bounty and mercy,

وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ



and save us from the punishment of the Fire.

Allah then said

He knows and spiritually sustains those whose hearts have been touched by the divine hand, who are vested with the cardinal virtues, expressing their thoughts in words to pray Allah for forgiveness. Thus, they say: "O Allah, our Creator, our hearts have been impressed with the image of religious and spiritual virtues, we pray and beseech You to forgive our iniquities and ensure our immunity from the fire
