قَالُوْا طَاۤىِٕرُكُمْ مَّعَكُمْۗ اَىِٕنْ ذُكِّرْتُمْۗ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُوْنَ   ( يس: ١٩ )

قَالُوا۟
They said
ṭāirukum
طَٰٓئِرُكُم
"Your evil omen
maʿakum
مَّعَكُمْۚ
(be) with you!
a-in
أَئِن
Is it because
dhukkir'tum
ذُكِّرْتُمۚ
you are admonished?
bal
بَلْ
Nay
antum
أَنتُمْ
you
qawmun
قَوْمٌ
(are) a people
mus'rifūna
مُّسْرِفُونَ
transgressing"

Qaaloo taaa'irukum ma'akum; a'in zukkirtum; bal antum qawmum musrifoon (Yāʾ Sīn 36:19)

Sahih International:

They said, "Your omen [i.e., fate] is with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people." (Ya-Sin [36] : 19)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

They said, “Your bad omen is with yourselves. (Do you take it as bad omen) if you are given a good counsel? Rather, you are a people who cross all limits.”
