وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمْ اَنْفِقُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ ۙقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اَنُطْعِمُ مَنْ لَّوْ يَشَاۤءُ اللّٰهُ اَطْعَمَهٗٓ ۖاِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ  ( يس: ٤٧ )

wa-idhā
وَإِذَا
And when
qīla
قِيلَ
it is said
lahum
لَهُمْ
to them
anfiqū
أَنفِقُوا۟
"Spend
mimmā
مِمَّا
from what
razaqakumu
رَزَقَكُمُ
(has) provided you
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah"
qāla
قَالَ
Said
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieved
lilladhīna
لِلَّذِينَ
to those who
āmanū
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
believed
anuṭ'ʿimu
أَنُطْعِمُ
"Should we feed
man
مَن
whom
law
لَّوْ
if
yashāu
يَشَآءُ
Allah willed
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah willed
aṭʿamahu
أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ
He would have fed him?"
in
إِنْ
Not
antum
أَنتُمْ
(are) you
illā
إِلَّا
except
فِى
in
ḍalālin
ضَلَٰلٍ
an error
mubīnin
مُّبِينٍ
clear

Wa izaa qeela lahum anfiqoo mimmaa razaqakumul laahu qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo anut'imu mal-law yashaaa'ul laahu at'amahooo in antum illaa fee dalaalim mubeen (Yāʾ Sīn 36:47)

Sahih International:

And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." (Ya-Sin [36] : 47)

1 Mufti Taqi Usmani

And when it is said to them, “Spend (to the needy) from the provision Allah has given to you”, the disbelievers say to the believers, “Shall we feed those whom Allah could have fed, if Allah so willed? You are but in open error.”
